Logistics area for Voestalpine

A physical location in Sweden is a requirement of participating in and winning tenders from the likes of the Swedish Transport Administration. The German infrastructure supplier Voestalpine saw potential in the Swedish market and in 2018 decided to make a significant investment.

Freight wagon workshop in Malmö

The EU railway package has laid down new rules and extensive requirements for how railway rolling stock is to be repaired and maintained. The requirements include that rolling stock must be lifted using jacks indoors and that there must be inspection pits for servicing underneath the rolling stock together with areas for wheel changes and effective testing of brakes, etc.

Train service facility in Hallsberg

The strategic railway location of Hallsberg is perfectly located for servicing railway rolling stock. High volumes of train traffic pass continuously, making this a convenient location for service and maintenance. Early on, Train Alliance identified a need for a high-performance wheel-turning facility, and in 2016 commenced project planning for a new train service facility in Hallsberg.

Multiple-unit depot in Eskilstuna

Establishing a railway facility requires skill and resources within a number of areas. In 2014, Train Alliance was tasked by the Municipality of Eskilstuna to support it in developing the necessary documentation and technical concept in accordance with a request for information (RFI) issued by Mälardalstrafik MÄLAB AB.
